Children attend Jasper Elementary, Japer Middle School, and Pickens High School.

Just down the mountain is the city of Jasper.  In and around Jasper are many places to shop.  There are furniture stores, carpet stores, antique shops, art shops, etc.  There are many restaurants with a wide variety of food choices.  Grocery shopping is convenient with a Kroger, Ingles, and Super Walmart near town.  Jasper, also, has a Home Depot for those "do-it-yourselfers".
